About PLMBR

Why we made it

Money is tight for a lot of people right now. Homeowners worry about every repair bill. Plumbers, especially the ones who work on their own or with a small crew, lose a slice of their earnings to fees and paid leads just to be found.

We are a small group of enthusiasts who thought: we can do something about that. So we decided to build a place where a person with a leaking pipe and a plumber with a free afternoon can meet without anyone taking a cut.

Who is behind it

PLMBR is a volunteer project led by Maksim Rudzenka. He started it, runs it and answers for it. Friends and enthusiasts help along the way.

PLMBR is not a company. There is no corporation, no investors and no sales team behind it. It is people who wanted to do something useful for Canadian plumbers and their customers.

What “free” means here

• Free for homeowners and free for plumbers. There is no subscription and no fee to see or answer a job.
• No commission. PLMBR takes nothing from the work you agree on.
• No payments on the site. You pay the plumber directly, the way you both prefer.
• No ads. We do not sell space on the site and we do not sell or rent your personal information.

Building the site, hosting it and keeping it running costs money and time. Maksim Rudzenka pays for it himself. That is our contribution.

What we are, honestly

We are a volunteer project, so we may be slower than a big company and we will make mistakes. When we do, we will fix them and say so.

PLMBR connects people; it is not the plumber and it is not a party to the agreement between you and the plumber. To make the site work we do keep some information, such as your email address and the jobs you post. The details are written in plain words in the documents below.
